Writing for Wellbeing: Mindful Writing for Awareness
Writing for Wellbeing is a brilliant practice to help you become more self-aware, let go of limitations, and find your inner wisdom and calm. Do some gentle writing activities to encourage mindfulness, spark creativity, and let those words flow. All in the beautifully peaceful atmosphere of Dilston Physic Garden – a perfect place for mindful writing.
Remember – writing is good for you! You never have to read aloud what you’ve written, all writing levels are welcome and you don’t even need any writing experience. Just bring a notebook and a pen, and your own wonderful enthusiasm to give it a go!
Laura Napran, PhD, is Writer in Wellbeing in Residence at Dilston Physic Garden. She is an experienced teacher, writer, storyteller, and a member of Lapidus (Literary Arts for Personal Development) and NAWE (National Association of Writers in Education). (Another workshop with a different theme also runs on 9 May).
