DESCRIPTION:The Summer Solstice marks the time when the sun is at the heigh
 t of its power – and nature’s response is a splendid display of colour
  and fragrance. This time is known in contemporary Druidry as ‘Alban Hef
 in’ which means 'Light of the Summer Shore'.\n\nMidsummer is the time wh
 en the tide of light has reached its high water mark - the time of greates
 t light\, though also tinged with some sadness because from now on the sun
 's strength will begin to ebb as we enter the waning year.\n\nIndependentl
 y facilitated by local members of druids\, these seasonal gatherings are a
 n opportunity to explore and deepen your awareness of earth-centred spirit
 ual heritage.\n\nFollowing a private group ceremony\, the afternoon gather
 ing is open to general visitors in the afternoon - more information coming
