 le“.\n\n\nRachel Liester is an ethnobotanist and bioregional herbal educ
 ator from Nebraska. She visited the physic garden in 2025 and will be retu
 rning to teach about the traditional uses of plants for food\, medicine an
 d ceremony by indigenous people of the prairie. Over the past two decades 
 she has been a student of Jerome Kills Small\, an Oglala Lakota wisdom-kee
 per who generously shares his knowledge and has given informed consent to
