Dilston Physic Garden, Dilston, Corbridge, Northumberland NE45 5QZ

Dilston Physic Garden is located between Hexham and Corbridge on the A695, approximately 15 miles west of Newcastle Upon Tyne, in the Tyne Valley. The Tyne Valley encompasses some of the most beautiful countryside Northumberland has to offer and Hadrian’s Wall is a stone’s throw away. Please don’t follow your SatNav which can take you on a left turn to Dilston College.

Dilston Physic Garden is 1 mile from Corbridge – follow the A695 from Corbridge to Hexham, cross the railway crossing and continue until you cross a small bridge (make sure you cross the small bridge, ie. don’t turn left to Riding Mill before the bridge). Please only park in our Top-up Car Park if you are coming to a workshop, event, the Foundation in Plant Medicine course or to volunteer – see below. The visitor car park is directly on the left after the bridge – turn into the lane and then directly left into the small Visitor Car Park. The physic garden entrance is a 3-5 minute walk from here – please note there is an incline on this lane.

Parking for all Workshops, Courses, Events & Volunteering Please only park our Top-up Car Park (shared with Dilston Scouts) – it is 200 yards after the small bridge towards Hexham at the top of the hill – turn directly left into the lane and then turn left again into the roadside grassfield Top-up Car Park, then walking down the lane, turning left at the cottage on to the public footpath, to the physic garden, a 7-10 minute pleasant flat countryside walk.

For a taxi we can recommend: EcoCabs Taxis Hexham T: 01434 600600.
