Did you know?
You can take this tea to help restore immunity, but in order to effectively treat a condition with plant medicine, you need to reach a medicinal dose. And then, take the correct dose for the correct duration for individual needs. We recommend you first consult a NIMH medical herbalist before taking any plant medicine at a medicinal level for the first time to treat a specific condition in order to get the best prescription for your individual needs.
CAUTION
When taking a plant at a medicinal level, always first consult a NIMH medical herbalist or healthcare professional before giving to a child, if you are pregnant, have any medical condition or allergy, or if you are taking any medication. Do not stop taking any medication you have been prescribed without consulting your health care professional
Throughout history people have used the plants around them to help boost immunity and to help protect against infection during the winter months. Plants like echinacea, rosehip, garlic, elderberry have laboratory research to show just how they work to boost immunity, for example by increasing immune cell production and antibody response. For some of these plants, like echinacea root, astragalus root, elecampane root, ginger root, liquorice root, rosehip berry and elder berry, there have also been controlled clinical trials in humans.
