Become a Horticulture Volunteer at Dilston Physic Garden and carry out the essential cultivation that is needed to keep the over 800 medicinal plants healthy through the season.
This role includes weeding, hoeing, pruning and watering to potting and harvesting herbs for sale and use in our botanical teas. Your previous horticulture experience is valuable to us but you do not need to be a horticulturist in order to volunteer as we can provide the necessary training. Commitment, enthusiasm and a love of caring for plants are essential.
Benefits include working outdoors in the tranquil Physic Garden, a refreshing break from routine, picking up botanical tip-bits for health and medicine and gaining invaluable experience, enjoying good company with a healthy light lunch.
If you enjoy working outdoors whatever the weather and can commit to coming regularly on a Tuesday from 10am to 4pm, then email Holly Hopkinson firstname.lastname@example.org to receive an application form.
