A day workshop with Victor Ball & Paula Hamilton at Dilston Physic Garden
For many years, members of the Order of Bards, Ovates, and Druids have been holding seasonal ceremonies in the magical surroundings of Dilston Physic Garden. These have been open to all with an interest in earth centered spirituality, no matter what tradition, to celebrate the turning of the wheel of the year with ritual and eisteddfod.
Ritual or Ceremonial Magic is practised today in many esoteric traditions ranging from Druidry to Freemasonry. Yet Magic is often misunderstood and its value little appreciated. If you would like to learn more about the practice of Ritual or Ceremonial Magic and deepen your understanding and appreciation of this remarkable spiritual discipline, then this workshop will serve as a useful introduction.
Using the Magic of the Seasons as a theme, the workshop will explore the place of ritual within spirituality, the symbols and ritual objects used, and how a ceremony is given shape. Although the workshop is primarily intended for beginners, it is hoped that the more experienced will also find it helpful.
